My New Addiction

I suddenly realised this morning that I have a new addiction!
Well, every morning when my baby wakes up (baby ker dah setahun?)
I'll pick him up from the cot, then lie him down on my bed
and watch him makes facesss :))

Cam dah takder keje lain ek?
But seriously... bila kita renung wajah anak...
Hati yang gundah bisa jadi tenang
Yang duka bertukar suka
Kalau sedih boleh jadi gumbira

Tiba-tiba akak teringat movie Slumdog Millionaire
Sunggoh terkesan di hati akak melihat 2 beradik Salim dan Jamal hidup susah sedari kecil...
As I oso have 2 boys...
Tak tergamak rasanya nak bayangkan anak sendiri hidup sebegitu...
Sensitip pulak dah.....
Cemana nak hilangkan sensitip ni?
Hehehe.. aper lagi... yok nengok wajah anak... :))

Are You a Happy Customer?

As I’m having my oatmeal breakfast this morning, I browsed through the Yahoo news and read ‘True Spa spat goes to the courts’. Apparently 16 unsatisfied customers of the spa filed a statement of claims. They signed up for packages of up to $7000 but later found that the service was bad, they were not able to make any bookings, they can’t terminate their contracts despite earlier promises and get pushy sales tactics from the staffs.

Remember my previous article on Spa Best, Spa Tak Best’?

Just after my session ended and before I made the payment, the staffs tried to persuade me to sign up for their package. If I’m not mistaken, it was around $7000 for 8 sessions.

That instance, I know I’m not coming to the spa again. The sales staff wasn’t that pushy though. A stern look on my face and sharp stare from my eyes were enough to make her stop pitching.

Somehow I wonder, is there any spa that didn’t do this?

Whatever happened to ‘making customers happy’?

How about ‘customer service’ or ‘quality services’ or ‘service quality’?

Is it just purely about business and money?

I believe it is.

The Tudung Craze & The Gadgets

I need to find someone to blame, I simply need to.
For years, the only gadget that I’m really interested in is just my laptop
And now, out of nowhere, I have a sewing machine in my house!
Not just that, I even got myself a ‘mesin jahit tepi’!!!
Wooohooo… orang IT pegang mesin jahit… hehehehe

If I remember correctly, the last time I touch this ‘thing’ was way back in….hmmmm… 1993….?
Yupp, that’s rite...16 years ago….
And here I am, sewing again... all for the love and craze of tudung munawwarah and tudung mektwain which I can never get in Singapore
Well, there are similar versions here but they are only similar.. definitely not the same…

Aha
And who do I blame?
I know I can blame these people coz they would never be angry with me
Sapa lagi….?? Cek kak cek kak ex-almashoorians laaa….
Sebab semuanya jadi tukang hasut ;)
And paling terok kena blame mestilah JUNOT and MIMI, both tukang beli and tukang pos tudung from KL untuk akak… hehehe

I’ve managed to hand stitched 2 tudungs though they are not as perfect
I’m still learning ok….
I’m gonna start my tudung project using my new gadgets soon
Right now… I’m hunting for the best fabrics, here in Spore
I’ve searched Arab Street, People Textile, Woodlands Centre and Spotlight but still couldn’t find munawwarah’s lycra or mektwain’s jersey :(
Somebody please help….please…..

Spa Best? Spa Tak Best?

Dah hampir setahun badan akak ni tak diurut, tak dimanja….

Urat-urat ni semua dah bersimpul-simpul dah…

Sket lagi boleh tersimpul mati!

Jari-jemari akak yang sibok menaip ni pon, kalau boleh jerit, dia dah jerit agaknyer

Tak cukup dgn keje-keje yg biasa, akak tambah lagi keje dia sabtu lepas

Sampai pukol 4 pagi akak paksa jari-jemari ni menjahit…

Jahit tangan tau, gara-gara nak sangat buat tudung munawwarah sendiri

Kesian jari-jemariku…

Sian pinggang yang lengoh ni….

Kesian sangat dengan tuan empunya badan….. hehehe

Kesian punya kesian, akak pon pegi SPA!

Akak sebenarnyer dah lama tercari-cari spa yang best kat temasek ni ha

Sebab kat sini akak lom pernah try mana2 spa pon

Kalau kat KL tu biasa gak…

Jadi based on a friend’s recommendation, akak pon pergi lah satu spa yang glamer di kalangan orang kiter…

Kat area arab street sana nun

Oleh kerana akak ni busy konon, sentiasa kesuntukan masa, akak cuma ambik package yg 4-in-1 for 90mins

Ada Balinese massage, lulur, wrap n scalp treatment

Bunyiknyer macam best kan?

Akak pon pergilah dengan harapan yang meggunung tinggi

Sayangnya harapan akak hancur berkecai!

Akak rasa tak brapa best la…. L

Disappointed betol!

Jika dilihat dari aspek servis, akak kata tak best sebab sepanjang treatment dari mula hingga akhir, si therapist tu tak explain apa2 pon…

Sampaikan bila dah habis, dia kuar, akak masih nunggu ingat blom abis….

Dari aspek teknik urutan akak rasa kurang best sebab dia tak focus pada point2 tertentu pada badan

Spa lain yg akak pernah pegi, ada tertib tertentu digunakan dalam teknik urutan

Ketelitian pon kurang di sini…

Dari aspek kualiti bahan yg digunakan agak kurang berkesan …

Selalunya lepas dilulur, kulit akan terasa halus mulussss

Yang ni, dah lepas lulur and wrap, tak jadi mulus pon…

Yogurt wrap dia lak, sepaham akak la kan, kalau nama wrap tu maknanya badan kita akan diwrap la, wrap keliling tummy, keliling thigh…dengan kain ker… dengan plastic ker…

Ini tidak, dia sekadar menggunakan plastic besar yg dah diletak di bawah alas massage bed tu

Dia naikkan plastic tu untuk tutup kiri kanan badan akak yg tengah baring ni

Wrap ke macam tu???

Kalau diperhatikan dari aspek ambience pulak, dengan biliknya yang kecik sebab dibuat beberapa partitions memang lah sangat jauh bezanya dengan my favourite spa - Martha Tilaar Eastern Rejuvenating Spa at Crown Princess Hotel, KL.

Sayangnya di temasek takder Martha tilaar. Di johor pon takder… L

Hmmm I wonder whether it is as good as Martha tilaar….

Hmm… fahamlah akak….

Jadi.. akak pon cubalah ambil langkah2 seperti di bawah:

1) Ajar dia bezakan antara rancangan tv dan iklan
Akak cerita la sekali pengaruh advertisements ke atas kanak-kanak…

2) Bila dia paster sangat, akak suruh dia kumpul duit sendiri untuk beli Bakugan tu… seminggu lebih kumpul baru dapat $7.95… baru dia tau value duit tu… jadi sekarang dia dah tau erti ‘membazir’

3) Yang ni paling penting, akak ajar dia sikap dan perasaan bersyukur….Akak tunjukkan pada dia segala nikmat yang Allah beri pada dia… yang mungkin kanak-kanak lain tak ader…

Ibu-ibu… bapak-bapak….mommy, daddy summer wat camner lak?

Rambutku.. Mahkotaku...

Adoiiii...
Kat temasek ni, susah betol nak cari salun2 rambut yg hairdresser nyer cuma wanita...
Dah jadi semacam trend pulak every hair salon mesti ada hairdresser lelaki
Jenuh akak mencari....
Bukak newspaper, salun2 muslimah semuanya jauh2... kat geylang.. kat bedok....
Tak nampak pon yg area west or north of spore :(

Sedih sangat, akak membawa diri ke seberang tambak....
Akak suka sekali dapat salon yg sumer hairdresser wanita...
Salunnyer lengkap dengan bilik khas untuk muslimah
At last, terbelai jugak rambut akak.... :))
